Beverly Hills, Ca.

Most people when they hear the name Beverly Hills associate this wealthy community with Hollywood Celebs, Golf Courses, and sprawling million dollar estates and this stereotype holds more true today than ever. But this community once had a small hole in the wall amusement park for kids at the corners of Beverly Blvd. and La Cienega Blvd.s The park existed in the 1960's and I remember I used to love the Pony Rides. Unfortunately currently the necessary rides to authenticate this 100% are non-existant. It was an extremely small park and the biggest thing was the Ferris Wheel. The ground was mainly covered with sawdust atop a dirt flooring. To the left of the entrance were the horse stables. In the center was the mule go round and on the left farside was the ferris wheel. Anyhow the biggest thing they had was a Kiddie Coaster on the South Western end. On the right were some horse ride and shows. Anyhow I hope you enjoy this historical small park that now is gone to a shopping mall. But you can revisit it anytime here.
