Dark Skies Script supervisor never commented on these and whether they were read by him or anyone else at the original Dark Skies group is unknown. JT Walsh, a very dear friend of mine did read a couple of them and said they were very good. It is unfortunate that Dark Skies has decided to go with Ganglions and Russian spy's in Majestic, or even taken Loengard onto the base. The capturing of Kim Sayers was an even bigger gutting of what could have been an excellent Television series. Truthfully, they blew it! It certainly wasn't fair to Columbia Pictures Executives who put so much faith in these Producers, nor to you the Viewer who needed more respect. While the Ganglion theme plays throughout my stories, be aware, that the aliens and phenomena play closer to the real UFO scenes. Unfortunately I had to have some Ganglions in there, but if I had it my way, they would not have been there, since they are an unrealistic alien, with adverse scientific facts that couldn't possibly explain how a lobster sized creature breaks through the stomach, up the spine, penetrates the skull membrane, without dropping the brain onto the spinal comlumn (doctors please feel free to correct me if I'm wrong, but go easy...I'm just an American Writer), and then the creatures fit in the head? This is the second of the three Teleplays I wrote. It was plotted in 11 minutes and written in 5 hours, including proofing time. The first Teleplay in the series is Pleiades Of Elements and the third one is Nauticals. All I ask is that with your enjoyment of these episodes, you leave the original in tact and that my name as both WGA regiateree and Copyright holder be kept as is. I hope you enjoy the series...sincerely "Mark Paul" DARK SKIES "51 = 4" TEASER FADE IN: INT. CIRCUS CIRCUS LAS VEGAS - DAY We are watching an act at Circus Circus amongst a crowd of people. There are thugs in the crowd, closing in on an African American male. DR. JOHNNY DEE'S an older man somewhat authoritative in appearance. HE looks amongst the crowd spotting the agents. HE begins moving out from the crowd down the stairs to the lower lobbies. People are playing the slots, as HE moves down the aisle of machines. The thugs quickly pursue him. There are five men in all, as they search the aisles of slots amongst gamblers, looking for their target. EXT. CIRCUS CIRCUS PARKING LOT - DAY DR. JOHNNY DEE slips away, outside the building to the parking lots. The thugs pursue him, spotting him in the distance. DR. JOHNNY DEE'S tired and breathing hard, as HE stops a moment. Then HE makes a dash across the lot just as they're trying to encircle his position. DR. JOHNNY DEE fumbles for his car keys, pulling them from his pocket. HE runs again down several rows of cars, until HE reaches his yellow Ford Pantera. HE gets in the vehicle, cranking the 351 Cleveland motor to life. The car rumbles a moment, then lurches forward. The others watch him, quickly getting into two small economy cars. JOHNNY races through several cars in line, waiting to pay for their parking. EXT. LAS VEGAS STRIP - DAY The Pantera then zooms onto the strip. DR. JOHNNY DEE'S stuck a moment as a massive crowd crosses the street. A hooker knocks at his passenger window, as HE motions her to go away. Suddenly DR. JOHNNY DEE looks to the left. One of the sedans has pulled up beside the car as the light's changing to green and the last of the crowd thins. The passenger in the first sedan pulls a forty five with a suppressor on it, smiling as he rolls the window down. The Pantera lurches forward as the engine roars to life, laying rubber off the size 50 tires, in a bail of white smoke. The other two cars give chase, following the Pantera and the driver off of the strip. DR. JOHNNY DEE hangs a quick right, then a left, heading North West out of town. EXT. NORTH WEST DESERT OF LAS VEGAS - DAY This is turning into a marvelous chase as the Pantera begins walking away from them. A Nevada State TROOPER sights the Pantera at over 100 M.P.H., and the two chasing cars. HE gives chase in his patrol car. The Passenger in the forward chase car takes shots at the Pantera, one of the bullets... INTER CUT TO: Punctures a fuel line in the rear engine compartment of the Pantera. The vehicle begins to slow as the chase winds down. All cars coming to a stop. HE waits in the Pantera as the five men in the chase cars get out. The Officer pulls up and also gets out too. HE calls out to one of the men, who turns and shoots him dead. Then the killer, wearing black gloves, grabs the dead Officer's service revolver. The others approach the Pantera. They open the door as the DR. JOHNNY DEE is taken out. DR. JOHNNY DEE No..no, this ain't right man. RIGGS (S-4 SECURITY) You knew the risk of working on the base. DR. JOHNNY DEE No more drugs, no more lies..all I ever wanted was out. RIGGS thumbs the hammer back on the dead Officer's revolver, placing the gun to DR. JOHNNY DEE'S head. RIGGS (S-4 SECURITY) And so it shall be. We hear the sound of a bullet shot from the gun. RIGGS (S-4 SECURITY) Put this back in the Troopers hand and let's place this in his. HE places the (murder gun) forty five in DR. JOHNNY DEE'S hands. Then they all file quietly into their cars, taking one last look around the desolate road. They drive off. END TEASER ACT ONE EXT. TROPICANA LAS VEGAS NEVADA - DAY Saturday afternoon LOENGARD and SAYERS are walking along the boulevard amongst the crowds of gamblers. They are searching for the truth. OLD LOENGARD (V.O.) We had come here to find information on a place called Dreamland. But getting information to Dreamland also known as Area 51 hadn't been easy. KIM and I were beginning to wonder if anybody would talk. SAYERS Let's head back to the room. I don't feel safe here. LOENGARD I know...I've had the same feelings too. Beyond the crowd a block away, we see the tail, they haven't yet spotted. It's none other than JIM STEEL. HE'S very neatly dressed and cautious in his movement. As STEEL continues, a bystander gets in the way. HE knifes him, continuing on, while several people go to the bystanders side. It's a sign of this hivers viciousness. EXT. LOENGARD'S HOTEL - DAY The couple make their way into the lobby. INT. LOENGARD'S ROOM - DAY JOHN takes a seat, while KIM turns the news on. The murder scene of Dr. DEE is playing on the afternoon edition. They both listen. NEWS ANCHOR (V.0.) And the shoot out which apparently took place off highway 95 earlier Wednesday, is still under investigation. The victim State Trooper Kelly Simms, was best known to the community as a dedicated and loyal trooper, leaving behind a wife and two children. The killer has been released as Doctor JOHNNY DEE, formerly with the United States Air Force, assigned to a local base. Neighbors said Dr. DEE was consistently delusional, often telling them stories about flying saucers. The victim leaves behind a wife and son. LOENGARD That's our key. SAYERS Dr. DEE? LOENGARD Air force and flying saucers. SAYERS But he's dead. LOENGARD His wife and son aren't. If they'll talk to us, we might have a chance. SHE must know something. KIM has a hunch. SAYERS Do you think this was a set up? LOENGARD BACH and his bunch will do anything to keep this quiet. I wouldn't put it past him to kill a man without a second's notice. I setup a second Motel room several blocks away. KIM takes the forty five out of the bag. SHE looks at it a moment. SAYERS That will help. What about STEEL? There's a sudden knock on the door. They both look at each other a moment. KIM works the slide action on the gun. Then we hear the kick, as the door begins to shutter open. STEEL enters the room, gun drawn. HE takes aim at LOENGARD squeezing off a round, that whiz by LOENGARD'S head as SAYERS unloads the clip into him, causing STEEL to backup, falling to the ground outside their hotel room. SAYERS and LOENGARD grab their purse and car keys, beating a quick retreat. INT. HOTEL HALLWAY - DAY A maid screams as SHE looks down at STEEL'S body, as STEEL tries to get up. Then SHE takes off, running and yelling words in Spanish. STEEL stands, with bullet holes seeping blood. HE enters the room once more. INT. LOENGARD'S ROOM - DAY STEEL stands looking at the open door to the outside. HE walks to the door stepping out, into the parking lot. EXT. HOTEL PARKING LOT - DAY Clearly the couple has gotten away from him. HE'S plainly frustrated as we hear sirens in the background. STEEL Damned. Dammit. INT. MAJESTIC BULLPEN - DAY BACH is seated by the phone as ALBANO approaches his boss a moment. ALBANO waits patiently, then moves around his boss, as BACH acknowledges him. BACH Yeah? ALBANO They've finished with DEE. BACH What about his family, are the boys checking on them? ALBANO They just finished, we turned the house upside down, and removed just a few documents. But they didn't find anything. We also checked their safe deposit box. BACH (upset) The plans for our Aurora program mustn't fall into any public hands. I don't care who we have to kill. Just make sure that we get those back. This is the second breach of security there. ALBANO Okay. By the way, LOENGARD'S in VEGAS. HE'S been asking around, questions about 51. BACH Alert security. If HE makes a move toward the base, ace him. ALBANO exits the room, to issue BACH'S orders. INT. LOENGARD'S NEW MOTEL ROOM - DAY Both KIM and LOENGARD enter, tired from running. It's only blocks away, but they've made it. OLD LOENGARD (V.O.) It had been close, too close. STEEL was a walking nightmare, always a threat. It seemed that both BACH and STEEL were in their own way out to stop us. But we weren't done just yet. SAYERS He'll be back. LOENGARD And when HE does return, we're gonna finish what we started. KIM looks into JOHN'S eyes. SHE reaches as HE responds, grabbing for one another. SAYERS I love you... LOENGARD I know. They both embrace a moment. Than the phone rings. LOENGARD I gave her this number and the old one, just in case. We're going to meet with her. SAYERS Where? LOENGARD CAESAR'S...tonight. I parked the truck behind a dumpster, just in case STEEL comes looking, or the cops for that matter. EXT. VEGAS SIDE STREET - DAY We see STEEL driving down the side streets searching for their truck or both KIM and JOHN. HE spots nothing. EXT. NELLIS AIR FORCE BASE LAS VEGAS NEVADA - DAY It's sundown as an airliner with blacked out windows lands at the runway. We watch it... Taxi to a stall. Then the stairs are driven to the door, and a number of airforce employees exit the plane, down the stairs. One of these people is JIM NORMAN, a UFO disk pilot with a bold American look. HE'S somewhat dazed as are the others. They seem like they're all coming out of a stupor. INT. CAESARS PALACE - NIGHT KIM and JOHN are walking by some roulette tables, watching happy gamblers becoming poor people. They head over towards some slot machines. KIM plays a quarter slot. Then SARA DEE approaches. JOHN turns to face her. They know who the other is. LOENGARD Misses DEE? SARA DEE Yes, are you JOHN LOENGARD? SAYERS And I'm KIM SAYERS. LOENGARD Do you think you've been followed? SARA DEE No...no, I don't think they followed me..You know why I'm here? SAYERS They killed him..didn't they? SARA DEE Yes. My JOHNNY worked for the government. In recent times HE started speaking about flying saucers, aliens at a base North of here. You know why I decided to tell you this. LOENGARD I know. We promised to get this to congress and we will misses DEE. SARA DEE My son BOBBY took JOHNNY'S Pantera out there. Oh how JOHNNY loved that car. SAYERS We saw it on the news. SARA DEE The detective thought it might be a hit on JOHNNY. HE mentioned that the bullet from JOHNNY'S gun, the one in his hand, had been found in the engine compartment of the Pantera. Said it didn't make sense shooting his own car. LOENGARD Did HE follow up with you, mention anything else. SARA DEE (hesistates) No...I called the station and they says he's on indefinite leave. SAYERS Your son...Does HE know the location of this airbase Mister DEE worked at? SARA becomes emotional, and defensive about the mention of her son BOBBY. SHE'S lost one of her men and doesn't want to lose another. SARA DEE Look, I says enough. You all leave my boy out of this. LOENGARD If HE could just tell us where this airbase is at, we could find it and investigate. SAYERS We can't really do anything until we find it. SARA DEE I think we should end this...I'm starting to feel uneasy. I think I made a mistake. SARA begins walking towards the doors as LOENGARD and SAYERS follow. LOENGARD puts himself in front of her, momentarily blocking her path. HE hands her a card with both alternate phone numbers for both himself and KIM. SHE takes it. LOENGARD Please Misses DEE, there might be others who get killed. This is our chance to stop it and set the record straight. EXT. MAJESTIC RUNWAY - NIGHT A Lear jet is in the background, engines fired up as BACH and ALBANO make their way to the plane. ALBANO They found the plans in his house, and have reported they'll have them at 51 shortly. BACH Make sure they intensify the S-4 security. And get them to DEE'S home. I want the boy and woman brought to Nellis for interrogation. WE need to find out if DEE gave anything away. ALBANO And what if HE did? BACH turns to face ALBANO, cold, heartless. BACH Then have RIGGS kill em. EXT. CAESARS PARKING LOT - NIGHT The three of them are finishing their conversation. SARA DEE Look, there's this man at Nellis. I think HE works in a local supermarket. His name is Major Jim Norman. JOHNNY used to talk about him being one of the test pilots. SAYERS Test pilot's misses DEE? SARA DEE Yes test pilots. LOENGARD For jets and planes. SARA DEE And maybe other things too. Good evening folks, I'm done talking to you. You all just make sure you let the congress know my husband died a hero. I have his benefits due me. SHE splits from them as both KIM and LOENGARD ponder what SHE told them. EXT. VEGAS SIDE STREET - NIGHT We see JIM STEEL dial a number. HE waits while it rings. RIGGS (S-4 SECURITY) Hello. STEEL RIGGS, it's STEEL. RIGGS (S-4 SECURITY) Haven't heard from you guys in a while. Been a long time. STEEL I know it has. RIGGS (S-4 SECURITY) How's BACH STEEL (lying) BACH'S doing just fine. I think there are a couple who are looking to infiltrate. Can you guys get my I.D. set. BACH told me to handle this personally on a Q38 clearance. RIGGS is hesitant a moment. RIGGS (S-4 SECURITY) Okay JIM...Okay, we'll set up a badge at the 51 gate for you. Stay clear of S-4. We're handling the rest of the security here. STEEL No problem. I just wanna stop this couple, per BACH'S orders. STEEL hangs up the phone. Then HE turns to look around the lot, making sure nobody is onto his plans INT. LOENGARD'S ROOM - NIGHT LOENGARD searches the white pages, with KIM over his shoulder. LOENGARD "J" Norman...it's right here. SAYERS Do you think that's him. LOENGARD There's several in the book. SAYERS (grabs the phone) Okay...no time like the present. INTERCUT - INT. JIM'S HOME - NIGHT JIM NORMAN grabs the line...He's groggy. NORMAN (DISK PILOT) Hello...who's there? SAYERS Hello..is this JIM NORMAN? NORMAN (DISK PILOT) Who wants to know? SAYERS We're friends of Misses DEE. We talked to her earlier about JOHNNY'S death. JIM'S eyes pop wide open. HE'S come to life on the phone. NORMAN (DISK PILOT) Okay. Let me give you my address. I'm very tired so you'll have to keep it brief. SAYERS Thanks, we'll be there shortly. INTERCUT - INT. WIRETAP STATION - NIGHT The security people have just intercepted the call. One of the agents listening with headphones turns to HER senior officer. WIRETAPPER It's NORMAN. HE has a strange call. SENIOR OFFICER Just keep monitoring his line. EXT. NORMAN'S HOME - NIGHT SAYERS and LOENGARD arrive in their truck. They park it at the curb and get out. EXT. CU NORMAN'S PORCH - NIGHT LOENGARD knocks on his door. A few moments pass as we see an eye blocking a peep hole on the door. Than the door slowly opens. SAYERS puts on a smile as JIM opens the door some more. HE steps out of the house, locking the door behind him. NORMAN (DISK PILOT) Security will be here shortly. LOENGARD Let's take my truck. I'm JOHN and this is KIM. NORMAN (DISK PILOT) And a beautiful lady at that. INT. LOENGARD'S TRUCK - NIGHT They're driving down highway 95 alone and away from anyone else. There are no lights of cars or anything to suggest they're being followed. JOHN pulls the truck off the side of the road. They park and get out. NORMAN (DISK PILOT) Okay, you folks wanted to talk...let's talk. Tell me about JOHNNY. SAYERS You know they killed him. NORMAN (DISK PILOT) There's nothing we can do. HE knew the rules of the game. LOENGARD I have ties to congress. NORMAN (DISK PILOT) Doesn't matter. You know there are projects that are black booked. SAYERS We want to get all of this out to congress and the people. LOENGARD You see...lying doesn't help anyone. It has to be a level playing field. NORMAN puts his hand out pointing at the Nevadan desert. NORMAN (DISK PILOT) Sometimes you have to run things down with a bulldozer to get a level playing field. LOENGARD You know about the disks. NORMAN (DISK PILOT) I just work at Nellis. At the end of the day, I finish my kitchen job and go home. KIM turns NORMAN to face her, staring him in the eyes. SAYERS No..you do more than just that. SHE lifts his left arm. There are needle marks on it. SAYERS How long have you been using drugs? NORMAN (DISK PILOT) (groggy) I can't remember....But I do know this. JOHNNY'S son BOBBY swore he'd get even with the base up North. You have to stop him. They'll kill him. LOENGARD Tell us how to get there. JIM thinks hard a second, but HE appears to be fighting something. NORMAN (DISK PILOT) I can't remember. INT. DEE'S HOUSE - NIGHT They kick the doors in, government agents with RIGGS approaching SARA. RIGGS (S-4 SECURITY) Where's your son, misses DEE? SARA DEE Out on the town. RIGGS (S-4 SECURITY) (laughs a moment) I'll bet...You're going to have to come with us. SARA DEE Why...I don't work for you people. RIGGS (S-4 SECURITY) I'm sorry to inform you ma'am, your husband did...and it's a matter of national security. SARA DEE Maybe I don't see it that way. RIGGS slaps her across the face and SHE shoves him back, causing him to lose his balance. STEEL enters the room, gun drawn. HE'S wearing a very thick coat and dark glasses. HE shoots her dead. RIGGS (S-4 SECURITY) We needed her. I told you this was our jurisdiction. STEEL SHE looked like SHE had a gun. It's hard to see in the light. RIGGS (S-4 SECURITY) This is another death we're gonna have to cover. And then there's the boy. Bad blood brewing between these two. STEEL If HE gets in the way, we'll kill him too. RIGGS (S-4 SECURITY) The kid may have gone to the base. STEEL exits the room. EXT. DEE HOME FRONT PORCH - NIGHT CU STEEL, chest is leaking blood through the coat. HE tries to tighten his coat. EXT. NORMAN'S HOME - NIGHT KIM and JOHN drop him off. HE waves good-bye as they drive away. Moments later a car pulls up, and two agents get out. They approach JIM. INT. LOENGARD'S TRUCK - NIGHT They're driving towards their motel room. LOENGARD We have to blow this thing wide open. If there are disks at this place called Dreamland, we'll need to get photos of them. Maybe some hard evidence like BACH'S metal foil. SAYERS You know they're going to have tight security. LOENGARD Yeah, but we have to do this. JOHN pulls the truck into it's hiding spot. EXT. LOENGARDS ROOM - NIGHT Both KIM and himself get out of the truck. They walk to their room. HE opens the door. INT. LOENGARD'S ROOM - NIGHT They turn the lights on, setting their stuff on the table. SAYERS closes the door and locks it. SAYERS Where do we start? LOENGARD We find the kid and confirm the location of Dreamland as being the same as area 51. SAYERS What do we do when we get there? LOENGARD Test their security, see what they have...The way I figure it, they'll be looking for someone from the outside. SAYERS What are you saying, we pose as personnel? LOENGARD Exactly. We fake I.D.'s and explore the place...Did you get a hold of this JIM NORMAN. I don't think HE'S a drug addict. SAYERS I noticed..HE seemed to be aware of things, like HE was almost totally awake except when it came to remembering. LOENGARD goes to the window, closing the curtains and taking a peak to make sure they weren't followed. LOENGARD I read something a while ago, about new types of drugs we used in Nam. They can wipe or restore a person's mind over a short period of time. SAYERS You suppose they do that at the end of a day shift to... LOENGARD To keep them from remembering what they did. And if one of them say..had an adverse affect and remembered, than they'd SAYERS Kill him. Do anything to stop him from speaking out, telling family and friends what was happening. LOENGARD It all makes sense. JOHN takes the forty five and loads a fresh clip. SAYERS STEEL..did you see the stare on his face when HE came in? LOENGARD They've taken full control of him. And between his old personality and the Ganglion's, they'll stop at nothing to kill us. EXT. AREA 51 LANDING STRIP - NIGHT BACH'S jet has touched down as the wheels produce smoke from the skid of the tires on the runway. The Jet is slowing to an unloading ramp. The door opens and... BACH and his men get out of it. They step down on the asphalt, taking a look around. RIGGS (S-4 SECURITY) We just got back. Your man killed DEE'S wife. We were bringing her in for questioning. BACH I haven't placed any operatives here..yet! RIGGS (S-4 SECURITY) We gave him high security clearance. HE said HE'S looking for a JOHN LOENGARD and a woman named SAYERS. ALBANO Who? RIGGS (S-4 SECURITY) STEEL...JIM STEEL. There's a moment when RIGGS and BACH lock stares. BACH (beat) STEEL...(chuckles) on LOENGARD? Pull STEEL'S access to the bases. HE'S hive. If HE attempts to access either base here, shoot him dead. BACH turns to ALBANO. BACH Work with RIGGS to clean things up at the DEE residence. RIGGS (S-4 SECURITY) They have a son, one BOBBY DEE. HE'S on the run..we've been unable to find him. BACH Find the kid and take him out. S-4 is serious business. I want no breaches on either base. I/E. DEE'S HOME - NIGHT BOBBY pulls up in the drivable Pantera as HE shuts the engine off. Something's wrong. HE senses something terrible as HE gets out of the car, walking to the door of his home. IT'S locked tight, and all of the lights are off. SLOWLY HE opens the door with his key. HE reaches around to the light on the wall. HE flicks it on, entering the premises. Everything is clean, neat, just no mother to greet him. HE walks over to the coffee table..finds a card. BOBBY DEE Mom. INTERCUT - CU: SHOES It's JIM STEEL. HE walks over to the couch. HE'S wearing the dark glasses. STEEL I have questions for you about LOENGARD. FADE TO BLACK. END OF ACT ONE ACT TWO INT. DEE'S HOME -NIGHT BOBBY DEE Hey man..I don't know a Loen person. STEEL I think you do. BOBBY beats a quick retreat out the door, while STEEL tries to pull his gun. EXT. DEE NEIGHBORHOOD - NIGHT STEEL'S outside in the dark looking around. DEE'S gone. HE knows the kid will never come out at this point. So HE gets in his car and drives off. After a few moments of cautious waiting, DEE gets in the Pantera, firing the Cleveland 351 up. Then HE drives down the opposite direction on the street from STEEL. INT. PANTERA COCKPIT - NIGHT HE thinks a moment while driving down the street, then pulls the card from his pocket. HE reads the back of the card. INTERCUT CU CARD The back of the card says "LOENGARD at 555-5634" EXT. PHONE BOOTH AT SHOPPING CENTER EAST VEGAS - NIGHT BOBBY'S stopped and at a phone booth. HE puts a dime in and dials LOENGARD'S numbers. BOBBY scans the area nervously. HE spots nothing out of the ordinary. INT. LOENGARD'S ROOM - NIGHT They're watching the news when the phone rings. JOHN picks it up. LOENGARD Hello? BOBBY DEE You a JOHN LOENGARD? LOENGARD Who wants too know? BOBBY DEE Yeah you sounds like a LOENGARD. We have to talk. LOENGARD Who is this? BOBBY DEE BOBBY DEE...I need your help. KIM motions LOENGARD. JOHN muffles the phone a moment. LOENGARD It's her son..HE wants to talk. SAYERS Let's meet him. BOBBY DEE My mother mentioned you people. You're with the congress..right? LOENGARD We are gatherers of information. We're trying to expose the cover-up. BOBBY DEE They killed my father...and I was just home. My Mother wasn't there. LOENGARD You on a public phone? BOBBY DEE Yeah. LOENGARD Meet us at this address tomorrow morning. INT. BACH'S LEAR JET AT 51 - NIGHT HE turns to ALBANO. BACH I'm spending the evening at Nellis. Going to gamble a little. ALBANO Don't worry, we'll keep things tight here, till ya get back. BACH boards the Lear jet. The door closes and the engines fire up. In moments... We see the Lear jet taxi onto the runway, then take off. ALBANO turns to RIGGS who approaches. ALBANO Any sign of STEEL or LOENGARD? RIGGS (S-4 SECURITY) Naw..not yet. ALBANO I'm more concerned about STEEL than the couple. The kids are easy to stop, but STEEL, with the creature in him, is going to be a problem. RIGGS (S-4 SECURITY) We've been performing the checks on employees on both bases here, and none have come up positive yet. ALBANO That's good for now. But when they do, it's gonna be a problem. INT. LOENGARD'S ROOM - SUNRISE JOHN has the gun in hand as HE cautiously opens the door to the room. HE smiles at the sight of BOBBY. BOBBY enters the room, turning to glance at KIM a moment. BOBBY DEE SHE was there. I think they took her. LOENGARD Have a seat. SAYERS Can we get you something to drink or maybe some bacon and eggs? BOBBY DEE Eggs would be good. I haven't eaten anything this morning. KIM tends the cooking while LOENGARD gathers the current manila envelop on the breakfast table and BOBBY takes a seat.. LOENGARD We think your dad was murdered. But we don't have proof on that. BOBBY DEE The detective thought the same thing. As for my mother, I'm scared. LOENGARD We need to find out about a place called Dreamland. BOBBY stays mum for a moment. HE'S almost to terrified to speak out. Then HE begins to open up...slowly at first. BOBBY DEE My father used to work there, and at another place farther south of there. LOENGARD Where is this Dreamland...what do they do there? KIM sets the plates on the table. BOBBY DEE They test aircraft. SAYERS Flying saucers? BOBBY DEE (beat) Yes...they have some disks. LOENGARD Then they have greys. BOBBY DEE They store the disks to the south at S-4. HE mentioned seeing greys there once before. They're actually called Rigelion's, because they come from a planet around the star Rigel. For a moment both KIM and JOHN look at one another. BOBBY DEE You don't believe me... LOENGARD It's not that... BOBBY DEE Naw..I know. When my dad said the same things, I hads my doubts. But now, I thinks everything HE told me was the truth. SAYERS Then we need to go there. LOENGARD What can you tell us about a JIM NORMAN? BOBBY DEE JIM'S a test pilot for the disks. HE actually flies them. DAD said they was able to fly them, just didn't quite have everything they needed to figure out how the propulsion systems worked. They all start chowing down on breakfast. SAYERS We saw needle marks on his arm. BOBBY DEE They drug em at the end of the day. LOENGARD I suspected they do that to wipe their minds. BOBBY DEE The drug cleans about 8 to 12 hours worth of memories, without any side effects. But DAD had an antidote, shared the knowledge with JIM. HE'D taken an antacid that day in the morning, cause of heartburn, and when they gave it to him at the end of the day, HE still remembered things. Then HE took another one the following day...Same thing. SAYERS snaps her fingers. SHE'S somewhat excited at this, as is JOHN. SAYERS That's the key. We'll take this stuff. LOENGARD Then we're immune from this drug. Did HE mention the name of this drug? BOBBY DEE I think HE referred to it as DL8. EXT. NELLIS AFB NEVADA - DAY A DC-10 is taking flight in the air from the runway. The windows are all blacked out on the craft. We watch as it disappears into the Northern Nevada sky. INT. AFB AIRLINER CABIN - DAY Inside, we see the different faces of the workers on their way to area 51. Among them is BACH in one seat and JIM NORMAN a few seats ahead of him. BACH listens to the conversations. INT. LOENGARD'S ROOM - DAY They're all finished eating breakfast. BOBBY DEE (wipes mouth, downs OJ) That was good home cooking misses SAYERS. SAYERS (SHE smiles) Thanks. LOENGARD Now the question is how? BOBBY DEE My dad taught me to fly gliders. HE was a great glider pilot. LOENGARD That will never get us in. BOBBY DEE HE had this two person glider made of a special black material. Said the air force is working on a plane called a stealth. SAYERS What's a stealth? LOENGARD Black book project. LOENGARD sips coffee. BOBBY DEE That's right. LOENGARD They are a special type of skin that's all black on this new airplane design. SAYERS (perplexed) Why black? BOBBY DEE Radar. LOENGARD See...KIM. Black absorbs radar signals. BOBBY DEE On radar they'll think it's a bird. And with a glider, we can ride thermal updrafts like a hawk. Then swoop down low to the ground and glide behind their defenses. LOENGARD Unless ground people are watching. Then we're in trouble. BOBBY DEE They're weakest on the South end, in their security. DAD tested it one time, says they are expecting people from the road which is North and East. This Dreamland has the worlds longest runway. LOENGARD I'd only heard rumors of this place till recently. SAYERS That's all fine and dandy. But what do we get and how do we get out? LOENGARD snaps his fingers. LOENGARD We have that 8mm camera. All we need are close photographs. BOBBY puts his hands up... BOBBY DEE That's where I stop. They have helicopters with machine guns and men in jeeps patrolling the area. SAYERS I'm sure BACH is involved, and with STEEL trying to hit us, they must know we're here. Besides photos can be discredited. LOENGARD If we could just steal one of those disks, it would be tremendous proof. I'm getting a plan in mind... KIM gets excited over the notion. SAYERS JOHN this is crazy. Oh no...this is too wild. BOBBY'S getting nervous about the ideas being thrown around. BOBBY DEE Naw..now wait a second. I'll get you outside the perimeter, but that's as far as I go. BOBBY pulls out a topographical map with drawings of Area 51 and S-4 on it. HE gives the map to JOHN. LOENGARD stands a second holding his chin in thought. Then HE moves the dishes aside and opens a map on the table. LOENGARD You'll need a car to make a getaway. BOBBY you and I will make the flight. KIM you take his car and we'll park it at the outside perimeters at a hidden point. I'll need to see the maps. BOBBY DEE I'll show you guys where it's at. But, first we should take a days ride out that way, so you can get a close view of this place. Then you'll see what I mean by security. SAYERS BACH may already be expecting us there. If we show up and then leave after a day. HE may think we've had our fun. LOENGARD Then again, HE might think differently. FADE TO BLACK. END OF ACT TWO ACT THREE EXT. AREA 51 RUNWAY - DAY We see the airline touch down on the worlds longest runway. In moments the stairs are driven to the door and the people are unloading. Base security is extremely tight as MP'S with M-16's escort the different passengers to golf carts and jeeps. But some are boarded onto a bus with blacked out windows. JIM is one of the bus bound passengers. BACH greets RIGGS. RIGGS (S-4 SECURITY) How was the gambling. BACH Good. Where's ALBANO? RIGGS (S-4 SECURITY) HE'S going over our procedures at S-4. Mentioned something about a new test for hivers. BACH Any sign of STEEL or the couple? RIGGS (S-4 SECURITY) Not yet. BACH One or both will try and make it through the gates. Who are your test pilots? RIGGS points to the buss that's driving away. BACH You're to inject them with DL9. Provide the antidote in four hour intervals. RIGGS is shocked a moment. BACH Did I say something wrong? RIGGS (S-4 SECURITY) No. But you know if they miss the end of that interval, they're gonna die. BACH That's their problem, we'll get new pilots. Besides they only last a few months anyways. INT. LOENGARD'S TRUCK - DAY LOENGARD, KIM AND BOBBY are all riding up highway 93 North toward the junction of 93 and 25. They pass the small town of Alamo. LOENGARD'S driving, KIM'S in the middle and BOBBY has the open map. It's a crisp bright blue day, with clear skies. LOENGARD How far? BOBBY DEE Another eighty miles. We have to drive on this dirt road. It's located at a place called Groom Lake. You've got to see this place to believe it. Then ya all see why they call this Dreamland. SAYERS turns to BOBBY. SAYERS How close can we get today? BOBBY points to their left. BOBBY DEE There's a summit. We go any closer and they'll shoot to kill. SAYERS That's horrible. LOENGARD No...that's Frank BACH and Majestic. They'll do anything to keep these things hidden. BOBBY DEE Once on the ridge, you can take your camera and get the film on them. They all probably will be flying these disks you want...test em out there. LOENGARD But we want S-4. BOBBY DEE That's a different story. Requires a little more effort, like the plan. My mother wasn't home all night. I went cruising by and the lights were still out. I'm very worried. I called my aunt, she said she hadn't seen her. SAYERS I wonder if they took her? BOBBY DEE If they did, they may have her where you're going. LOENGARD We'll find out. EXT. HWY. 93 ASH SPRING NEVADA - DAY We see the truck drive by. EXT. TURNOFF GROOM LAKE AT HWY. 25 - DAY They turn onto the dirt road, and travel to freedom ridge. The truck stops and the three of them get out. They hike to the top of the ridge, with binoculars and camera in hand. The afternoon is dragging on as they... CUT TO: EXT. VIEW OF AREA 51 - DAY In the distance we can see activity amongst the checkered water tower and hangers. Then we see something. It skips closer and closer. LOENGARD Oh my God. SAYERS That's a disk. BOBBY DEE It's what you guys came here for. They test them here. LOENGARD takes pictures of it as the disk skips closer and closer, than veers off at tremendous speeds, disappearing into the sky. Moments later, it reappears again hovering, than suddenly it jumps from side to side and up and down, rapidly, before disappearing farther south. LOENGARD Greys? BOBBY DEE No, they ours. Them pilots fly these things. My dad said they have to have their brain frequency matched to a disk or else the disk won't fly properly for the pilot. They found that out when several pilots freaked out, after a few minutes flying time. SAYERS JIM NORMAN? BOBBY DEE Exactly. HE knows how they worked...probably in that one up there. LOENGARD stops the filming. LOENGARD We'd better get back. I booked another hotel room. We'll stay there for the night. BOBBY DEE Then it's agreed. Tomorrow morning, weather permitting, we take a flight. They pack it up in the truck and split. EXT. HWY. 23 TURNOFF - DAY Several Jeeps, one with BACH in it, block them from getting onto the highway. The soldiers step out and BACH approaches the truck. BOBBY, LOENGARD and SAYERS are pulled from the vehicle. BACH Sloppy work LOENGARD. I want the film. LOENGARD I don't know what you're talking about. BACH All I want is the film. An MP presses the rifle against BOBBY'S head. LOENGARD hesitates a moment. Then HE looks at the truck. LOENGARD You win. It's in there. An MP grabs the camera from beneath the seat, handing it to BACH. BACH opens the camera, exposing the cartridge to direct sunlight. Then HE turns to ALBANO. BACH Do it....(to JOHN) His mother's dead. It was an accident. BOBBY DEE Son of a bitches. Phased by the knowledge his parents are both now dead, they shoot BOBBY as HE struggles. HE'S now dead before KIM and JOHN'S very eyes. BACH We had no choice. Frankly, I'm going to have them kill you too. End a thorn in Majestic's side. RIGGS (S-4 SECURITY) We could do that, but we have a better way. Injections. They won't remember a thing. BACH ponders the idea a moment as they all watch. BACH This is against my better judgment, so instead take them and throw them in your prison at 51. They wanted to watch disks. Let em see what they're gonna lose their lives over. RIGGS along with several MP'S grab them forcing the couple into a jeep. RIGGS (S-4 SECURITY) We could have wiped their minds. BACH Park their truck on the road. We got what we wanted...let's go. EXT. AREA 51 COMPOUNDS - DAY FRANK approaches ALBANO. BACH I want a fix on him. ALBANO HE was seen in East Vegas this morning. We couldn't get him in time. BACH I just got rid of one problem, I want this other one handled. ALBANO Okay...it'll be handled. INT. AREA 51 PRISON - SUNSET As LOENGARD and SAYERS watch out the prison window, they see more disks flying in the local skies. SAYERS HE'S gonna have us killed. LOENGARD No..not yet. At least we can witness what's going on. Then we'll escape with proof. ALBANO stops by their cell. ALBANO I wouldn't be so sure of that. This place has the best and tightest security in the world. SAYERS Why didn't HE kill us? ALBANO In his own way, FRANK likes the two of you. HE wanted you to get a good view of the high tech toys, then he'll kill you tomorrow. I'll take personal delight in that action myself. LOENGARD We're gonna get out with the truth this time. ALBANO I don't think so. SAYERS I've got heartburn. ALBANO takes a roll of antacid tablets out of his pocket. ALBANO I know the feeling. Here's to show you I'm not totally heartless. HE hands SAYERS the role. Then HE walks off down the hallway, leaving them in their cell. SHE takes half of the antacids and gives the other half to JOHN. LOENGARD That was great thinking. SAYERS smiles a second. SAYERS I know...I have my moments. They both embrace in a deep passionate kiss. BACH approaches with RIGGS. HE points to LOENGARD. BACH You...you want to know the truth. Since I'm going to have you and her killed, I thought I just might give you both a sneak preview tomorrow. JOHN approaches the cell door, while KIM rests on the cot in the background. LOENGARD You're all heart..FRANK. BACH I could have had you killed already. SAYERS But you won't. LOENGARD Not until you find out what we know and who we've dealt with. RIGGS (S-4 SECURITY) That good thinking..very good. KIM'S a little angered at them. SAYERS We weren't born yesterday. INTERCUT INT. STEEL'S HOTEL ROOM - NIGHT We see STEEL picking the bullet fragments from his body. Then HE places his hand over the bullet holes and chunks of missing meat, and they begin healing, due to his alien powers. STEEL (to himself) Damned where can they be? We see him closing his eyes for a few moments, concentrating. Then HE smiles. STEEL Okay frank. We'll do it your way. You want a war, we'll have one. INT. LOENGARD'S CELL - NIGHT As we look out the window, we see the lights from the disks and other experimental craft in the dark skies. They are putting on a regular light show. One disk actually soars high into the sky, while another one shoots low across the desert. INT. LOENGARD'S CELL - SUNRISE It's been a long night. Both JOHN and KIM have gotten little rest. JOHN paces back and forth in the cell, while KIM sits on a cot watching him. There's worry in her eyes. LOENGARD I took the antacids earlier. SAYERS I know, one seems to last a long time. LOENGARD I just hope these keep us aware of what's happening. We hear the boots on the cold floor of the hallway. It's RIGGS and two MP'S with M-16's. They approach and open the cell door. RIGGS (S-4 SECURITY) If it was up to me, I would have wiped your minds and forgotten you two. SAYERS But it's not..is it? RIGGS tries not to make eye contact with her. RIGGS (S-4 SECURITY) No ma'am, it's not. RIGGS turns to the MP'S. RIGGS (S-4 SECURITY) Let's take them out. They're to be put in the jeep. BACH'S orders were clear..they are to be executed immediately after the preview and buried with the DEE family. SAYERS You killed a whole American family. What kind of American are you? The remarks bring a moment of disobedience to the eyes of one of the MP'S. RIGGS (S-4 SECURITY) It was a matter of national interest. They threatened our government by trying to do what you two intended. LOENGARD What...expose the truth. RIGGS (S-4 SECURITY) The truth is..your time's winding down...Men take these two outside now. You're orders are to shoot to kill if they even so much as move. Make sure a gun is to their head at all times. The two MP'S take both LOENGARD and SAYERS out of their cell, with rifle butts pointing at both of their heads. RIGGS holds his chin in frustration. HE notices a piece of the antacid wrapper on the floor. HE takes it in his pocket. EXT. OUTSIDE AREA 51 PRISON BUILDING - DAY Both LOENGARD and SAYERS are walked to the awaiting Jeep. The two MP'S seat them in the vehicle. A second vehicle pulls up with FRANK and ALBANO in it. LOENGARD and BACH lock stares a second. Each man suspects what the other's thinking. JOHN smiles a moment. LOENGARD You must feel real good doing this. BACH It gives me great pleasure mister JOHN LOENGARD to remove your thorn from my side. I just wanted you to see the truth before you meet your maker. SAYERS So you really intend to kill us? ALBANO Without a doubt. RIGGS arrives and gets in the driver's side of LOENGARD'S Jeep. We watch as the vehicles drive away, down the lonely dirt road. Behind them we see the morning bus with the blacked out windows, slowly following at a distance. LOENGARD turns a moment taking notice of the bus. An MP grabs his head turning it forward RIGGS (S-4 SECURITY) Keep your eyes forward mister LOENGARD. EXT. AREA S-4 BASE - DAY The area is very quiet as the two Jeeps pull to the buildings. They stop the vehicles. There are hangers nearby, very large hangers. JOHN and KIM are actually excited as they pass one of the hangers, catching a glimpse... INTERCUT - MED SHOT. HANGER OPEN DOOR - DAY There's a disk in here, extremely shiny, waiting on tripods. LOENGARD They're real. BACH approaches them, followed by ALBANO. BACH (to ALBANO) Tighten things up. ALBANO STEEL? BACH I can smell him. HE'S around somewhere. SAYERS How do you know that? BACH Sixth sense...C'mon kids. I'm fulfilling your last requests. The MP'S and RIGGS join BACH as they continue to keep the rifles on both SAYERS and LOENGARD. The buss arrives and stops. The buss doors open. The people start unloading. One of them is JIM. HE takes notice of both KIM and JOHN a moment. HE knows they're in trouble. KIM looks at him, we can see SHE suspects something unusual about JIM. It's in her eyes. FADE TO BLACK. END OF ACT THREE ACT FOUR EXT. S-4 ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICE - DAY JIM disappears into the office building with the others. HE moves quickly, trying not to show his condition of memory. EXT. S-4 - DAY BACH motions the MP'S to ease up a bit. Both men comply. BACH RIGGS this is a good operation. I guess I might as well check on things. Bring them with me. ALBANO approaches. HE talks to RIGGS a moment. Then RIGGS leaves them. BACH What? ALBANO They're secure on this end. RIGGS is going to run a systems check on all entries while I watch these two. LOENGARD You don't trust us? BACH chuckles a moment. BACH That's a good one. At least if you're gonna die, it might as well be happily. C'mon kids. They approach an open hanger. MP'S at the open hanger doors each check BACH and ALBANO. BACH They're with us. The other MP'S back off letting them pass. INT. HANGER INTERIOR - DAY We are inside a huge hanger with the group. We can see 4 disks inside this hanger and a triangle at the far end. The Triangle's black while the disks are all extremely shiny. LOENGARD turns to FRANK. LOENGARD Can I... BACH Touch one..sure. JOHN approaches a disk and puts his hand to it while SAYERS watches. This disk is on a tripod of struts with an open hatch at the bottom. INTERCUT PAN: OF HANGER We see all of the various employees studying the disks and taking readings and measurements. SAYERS Can we look inside? BACH (shrugs) Sure...you're both gonna be dead anyways..what harm is there? SHE'S escorted with the MP next to JOHN at the disk. BACH and ALBANO approach. EXT. AREA 51 SECURITY - DAY Driving down a lonely dirt fire access trail in a Bronco, STEEL pulls right up in his vehicle to a small security gate. The guard approaches with one other MP each pointing a 45 at him. There's another MP just beyond the gate, waiting and watching...acting casual. GUARD (GATE 51) We've been alerted to your presence. Please step out of the car sir. It's a tense moment, then STEEL shoots the guard and one the MP and floors the vehicle, breaking through the gates and running down the other MP, but not before the MP gets several shots in the windshield and radiator. STEEL'S still alive as HE drives at high speed. CUT TO: INT. DISK Both JOHN and KIM are with BACH at the entry hatch to the disk. They are astonished at how cramped it is inside. The chairs are very small, not intended for humans. SAYERS They sit in these chairs. BACH Yes they do. LOENGARD And you have them here working with us. BACH I would say that's right. LOENGARD How do they fly these things? It looks like a small grip control. We see a CU of the all white dash and window. There's a short white handle with a grip made for 6 fingers. SAYERS goes to touch it, then backs her hand away from the grip. SAYERS I'm curious..how do they fly this..the pilots? BACH turns to ALBANO. BACH Call a pilot over to the unit. Give em their answers. ALBANO steps down out of the hatch. HE walks amongst the different people in the hanger, approaching of all people, JIM. ALBANO grabs a hold of JIM'S tag. ALBANO You'll do. NORMAN (DISK PILOT) JIM NORMAN..I have been assigned to... ALBANO You just got temporarily reassigned with me. Please follow me. I don't have much time. NORMAN (DISK PILOT) Yes sir! JIM follows ALBANO across the hanger. They approach the disk. Ducking down, they move under it and up inside. INT. DISK INTERIOR It's getting cramped in here as both ALBANO and JIM enter. At that very moment... JIM and KIM make eye contact. HE scans her shirt top, realizing there's no badge. HE suspects what may be transpiring. BACH and ALBANO look at each other a moment. EXT. ROAD TO S-4 - DAY STEEL is still driving at high speed as HE approaches the S-4 base, running down two MP'S. STEEL concentrates a moment. Then HE turns his attention towards the hanger. HE floors it towards the hanger, running the vehicle into a wall. MP'S start firing at STEEL as HE pulls out two M-16's. HE fires back, absorbing two bullets and killing four MP'S in the process. INT. DISK They hear the fire fight outside. BACH STEEL. ALBANO handle him. ALBANO takes his gun and disappears at the bottom of the disk. With that, LOENGARD and JIM fight BACH, disarming him and seating him in the corner of the disk, in the process. JIM gives KIM the gun. There are several shots near the base of the disk as ALBANO comes inside with them, bleeding from an arm shot. KIM and JOHN take his gun, seating him next to BACH. LOENGARD (to JIM) Get us outta here. JIM hits a knob on the dash. The hatch begins to close. INTER CUT: EXT. DISK As STEEL watches his chances of getting them slip away with the hatch closing, HE turns his attention to the incoming soldiers. Then HE makes a run for it. BACK TO: INT. DISK JIM'S feverishly working the controls. The disk ain't moving. LOENGARD What's wrong? BACH You both screwed up. It won't fly with him, not totally. LOENGARD (to KIM) If HE says anything else, shoot the both of them. Those remarks quiet BACH down. SAYERS That will be a pleasure. LOENGARD (to JIM) Why aren't we going? NORMAN (DISK PILOT) I'm not tuned to this disk properly. Pilot's have to be synced or else the disk frequency won't match them. SAYERS There's got to be something you can do. NORMAN (DISK PILOT) I'm trying honey, I'm trying. JIM closes his eyes a moment trying to feel a color in his mind while holding the grip. We hear a momentary hiss like a transfer corona wire being electrically charged up. Then there is a moment where the outside of the disk receives several bullet shots, that bounce in all directions from the magnetic fields. Suddenly the disk lifts from the ground, and the three struts begin automatically retracting. It's a quiet hiss that comes from the craft. The security people stand back away from the open hanger doors in awe of the sight. RIGGS and more MP'S come running. STEEL'S nowhere to be seen. MP1 Sir..we lost him. I have other men looking for him now. MP2 I think they have your two superiors in that disk..hostage. RIGGS (S-4 SECURITY) They knew the risks. Call air security. We have to down it and quickly...I'm wondering if STEEL'S in there with them? INT. DISK BACH You won't get away with this. They'll shoot us down. We're already dead. NORMAN (DISK PILOT) Don't hold your bets on that one. JIM concentrates on a point at a nearby hill, then inches the grip forward. Suddenly we hear three fast quiet clinks from the disks belly as the reactor core plates realign, then... INTER CUT TO: EXT. DISK IN AIRSPACE The disk jumps from the present position to a point above the nearby mountain. INT. DISK JIM turns to JOHN and KIM. NORMAN (DISK PILOT) This thing's sucking my energy. LOENGARD Can you jump it farther away? NORMAN (DISK PILOT) I can try. Suddenly we here a high pitched beeping. SAYERS What's that sound? BACH (smiles) Don't you know? That's my friends...They're closing on us, it won't be long. LOENGARD We gotta do something. We'll be dead either way. NORMAN (DISK PILOT) If I push it to hard while not being tuned, we could create a warped breach on the core reactor plates. That could also kill us. SAYERS Will we be safe from them? BACH Hard to say. This thing might breach time. It has been proposed. We hear the explosion of a rocket hit the mountain top, just missing them. LOENGARD JIM, push it and push it now. In a moments worth of hesitancy, JIM throttles the disk forward. EXT. DISK The craft disappears as two missiles immediately hit the mountain top. They're gone. INT. DISK Things are heating up inside as JIM'S brain is frying along with the disk. Through the window we can see them suddenly burst out of the greenish glow and over a desert. JIM falls forward as... EXT. DESERT? - DAY The disk begins to descend, falling towards the ground at a fast rate. INT. DISK BACH, ALBANO and JOHN are fighting for control of the gun while KIM is grasping the grip on the dash, next to JIM'S body. SHE manages to pull it back putting all of her thoughts into it. EXT. DESERT? - DAY The disk slows a lot...as we watch it plow into the ground. Moments later the hatch opens partway. We see the human hand inching it's way to the opening of the hatch. There's a breeze blowing as the dust is settling..... INT. DISK BACH's hand's the one closest to the open hatch. HE Pushes down with all of his strength, then manages to slide out. KIM follows him through the hatch. ALBANO'S in very bad condition and LOENGARD'S not much better, having been bruised quite badly. JIM'S dead, as LOENGARD turns from him. There's a sudden hiss from the belly of the disk. LOENGARD turns to see JIM one last time. HE doesn't like the hissing sound. EXT. DESERT? - DAY The hiss is even louder outside the craft. They are all a little dazed, but standing, with ALBANO1 in a slight slump. BACH Everybody alright? ALBANO I'll make it. SAYERS I think my arms fractured from that crash. LOENGARD It has mesa's. LOENGARD points at what looks like a monument standing tall on a mesa. The winds are picking up as sand is starting to blow. All the while they are moving farther and farther from the disk when it blows...kaboom in a brilliant flash. LOENGARD There goes our transportation. What do ya say FRANK. There's no reason to hold KIM and myself. There's no more evidence. ALBANO FRANK..I'm not feeling good. KIM and JOHN help ALBANO sit against a rock. KIM opens his shirt sleeve ripping it. LOENGARD I don't know. We'll figure on a place once we find where we are. BACH I'd say Arizona, maybe New Mexico. KIM continues to dig at the bullet from ALBANO'S arm, finally getting the slug out. KIM and JOHN continue walking farther and farther away from FRANK and ALBANO until they have disappeared from view. OLD LOENGARD (V.O.) And so KIM and I pondered the thought..did we cross over a time barrier? Was this even America we were in, or was it a different world? I suppose from FRANK'S point of view HE wanted to end this.
